Projects in York and Yorkshire 2014-8

December 2018 | Various

PJO Archaeology continues to develop its specialist knowledge of the archaeology of the City of York and Yorkshire with consultancy advice for a number of different projects in 2014-18. They include sites in York itself at Bootham Park Hospital (for Purcell UK Architects), The Retreat, Heslington Road and Caedmon Close, Heworth (Kyme Homes). Projects in the region have been located at Bramham (Kyme Homes), Castle Hill, Ilkley (for Burley Developments Ltd), at Stamford Bridge, East Riding, Scriven near Knaresborough and Mixenden, Halifax (for Peacock and Smith, planning consultants, Leeds), Scargill House, near Kettlewell (for the Scargill Movement) and Ledston Hall, near Castleford (for Purcell UK, architects and the Wheler Foundation). In each case a desk-based assessment has preceded advice on managing the archaeological implications of development in order to ensure clients have a smooth passage through the planning process.
